Shiatsu

Receiving a  Shiatsu- treatment is one of the most wonderful ways to feel your body, it trains body awareness. To recognize where tension sits in that moment, where the energy is not flowing, which movement is blocked and then slowly release and dissolve the blockings. It is a pleasure to feel the tension disappear. Some pressure points are pleasantly painful and lead after the massage to deep relaxation.

What can Shiatsu do? 
I can `t imagine my life without massage and Shiatsu. At least every 2 weeks I try to receive a Shiatsu or Thai massage myself and I feel vital, healthy, mobile and usually full of energy. 
By the resonance from many of my clients I know about the positive effects of shiatsu to relieve muscle tension, back pain, tension headaches, migraines, menstrual cramps, PMS, problems in the menopause, with psychosomatic complaints, burnout, exhaustion and overload, stress, sleep disorders, in crises ... 
Regular Shiatsu has a preventive effect, strengthens the immune system and stimulates the self healing powers. Anyone who feels comfortable in his skin is less susceptible to disease.

What happens during a Shiatsu massage? 
Meanwhile, I look back on 11 years of experience with Shiatsu, enough time and practice to develop my perception and my empathy. 
You lie in comfortable clothing on a futon on the floor and I work with my body weight and let myself sink slowly. I apply nice pressure with the palm, thumb, but also with the knees and elbows. 
The idea is to loosen the muscle tissue and release tension in deeper layers of tissue to penetrate, but also to bring blocked energy to flow to the meridians on the back. Withmy attention, I go to the areas which need attention and concentrate on what your body wants to tell me. I also work with many strains, train the arms and legs, and joint rotations. The individual vertebrae are shaken to loose the spaces between the ribs and you may just let go and feel positive. 
I massage your feet and hands, your neck and go to the pressure points on your head along. Sometimes I'll just hold hands or hang up an energetic balance. 
Almost always, it is useful to give the whole body Shiatsu. But I'm happy to respond to requests and then massage mainly the neck and shoulder area when it is needed most. 
Before treatment, there is a cup of tea and a short talk, because I need some information that may be important for the selection of the meridians. I also I ask about health problems or pregnancy, because that would exclude the pressing of certain points.
Shiatsu in Pregnancy 
I worked with many pregnant women up to the 9th month, because in Shiatsu there are many ways to give wonderful massages while the client lays in the side position. Here I can reach the whole back and perform treatments on the arms and legs. Through my own pregnancies, I know how good it is at this stage, where the body does great things, to take time for yourself and be pampered.
Shiatsu with children 
Several mothers were very enthusiastic about the treatments and have brought their children at the age of 11-16 years. Prerequisite for a nice massage is of course that the "teenager" likes to try. But then Shiatsu can be a wonderful experience, also when there are problems with concentration in school it`s a good choice. For younger children I would recommend 30 minutes of treatment.
